“There is none righteous, no, not one:” (ROM 3:10) “There is none that doeth good, no, not one.” (ROM 3:12)
These verses convict us all of our pride. It is hard to realize we need a savior when we don’t understand we are lost and bound for hell. Jesus was sent to redeem those under the law and we beheld His glory: His goodness, grace and mercy. He never had a day or even a moment in the flesh in 33+ years. He came to fulfill all righteousness and call, not the righteous but sinners to repentance (MAT 9:12). It is pride that deceives us into thinking we’re good. It’s pride that won’t let us humble ourselves to need His salvation. But Christ is the only good man in recorded history. Only his blood was innocent and able to pay for our sins. We can’t do what He has done for us.
