God is not going to fix the world, he wants to fix you in this world; to separate you from the world and separate you to Him. A heretic will use a heresy to separate people to himself. Heresies often involve the senses instead of the Word. Senses like, I felt, I saw, I heard, I thought, are used to justify themselves. God has done the finished work of salvation, our standing, in Christ, is that we are already seated in heavenly places with Him. Our state (temporal) is that we are in a corrupt body of flesh. So while God has done the saving, we need to do the living. He has given us all we need to live a victorious life but we have to get busy, building up ourselves, submitting our will, repenting, studying the Word, praying in the Spirit, fellowshipping in the Spirit. As we get busy and do it, God will be actively supporting us in our growth.
