07/06/2025 PM Jesus and Manna

The first mention of God’s glory was in connection to His provision of Manna for the Israelites. God’s glory is in His goodness. God told them He would rain down bread (from heaven) but when the awoke to find it in the morning, they called it “manna,” literally, “what is it?” Jesus, the Bread of heaven came down and all they could see was His humanity. They saw Joseph’s son, not the Son of God. Unlike the manna that, every morning, sustained the Israelites for 40 years, the living bread of Christ is received once and forever, not only by mouth but by belief (Romans 10:10).
