In the last week of Jesus’ life the dividing line was clear. The religious leaders were plotting His death, and in one house, His followers were in love with Him. When Mary broke open the spikenard, anointing Jesus, it was an act of worship. Little did she or the others know it was for His burial. Judas Iscariot objected to the “waste” of the costly fragrance, exposing his corrupt heart. This act of worship triggered Judas to to now betray Jesus. The world doesn’t mind what you waste or invest in unless it’s Jesus Christ.
