Jesus told the disciples He would be leaving them but that God was not leaving. They didn’t understand because before Jesus came, God the father had dealt with Israel. Jesus was God’s Son. It is not until the book of Acts they understand it is God, the Holy Spirit that makes possible,”and I, in you.” The Holy Spirit, He, is a person. The world won’t receive Him because they can not see Him, He’s Spirit. Just like, the real you (your soul) can’t be seen. You can not be saved, born again, and not have the Holy Spirit. When you are saved, you receive the Holy Spirit because you are baptized by the Holy Spirit. While Jesus was with them, whenever the disciples needed something they had to go to Jesus. But the Holy Spirit is always with you. He’s promised, “I will never leaveĀ thee, norĀ forsakeĀ thee.” You have all, 100% of the Holy Spirit. You don’t need more of Him, He needs more of you! To be filled we need to empty ourselves, to yield, follow, be led.
