All scripture is written for you but not all is written to you. That’s why rightly dividing the Word is vital for you getting your mail. For instance, in Jesus’ ministry he was speaking specifically to the Jews and not to Gentiles. After his death and resurrection, when the Jewish nation again rejects him (Stephen’s stoning), God’s covenant with the Jews for the Kingdom of Heaven (physical kingdom) is put on hold and He brings the Kingdom of God back to earth (the spiritual kingdom gone since the fall). From then on, salvation is offered to individuals (both Jew and Gentile) and the salvation of the Jewish nation is delayed until after the Tribulation. There are stark differences in how to understand and apply the word based on clear points in time. Once you begin to understand the differences, the Bible becomes so much clearer and powerfully inspiring for your walk in Christ!
