What is the purpose of your life? If you’re lost, it’s to get saved. If you’re saved, it’s to share the gospel. Too many Christians shop for a church the way they shop for a hotel or a health club—”What do you have for us?” In other words, “How will you serve us?” How much is that like Christ? “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” (Philipians 2: 5-8). Having the mind of Christ doesn’t mean thinking less of self. The mind of Christ does not think of self.
