When Easter was mentioned in the Bible, it was understood to be a Pagan celebration. We naturally think of it as Easter Sunday, the day Christ rose. The confusion arises because the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread always begin on the 14th day of the first (Jewish) month (April) and that year, the pagan celebration called Easter followed days after. That’s because the pagans celebrated on the first Sunday following the first full moon after Sping equinox. The Bible makes clear that Jesus Christ is our Passover Lamb. So the conflation with a pagan celebration is regretable. After Constantine decided to “Christianize” the Roman (Catholic) Empire, Easter was changed to represent Jesus.
