The greatest born of women is in prison and starts to doubt. The one whose life’s purpose was to preach repentance to the nation for the coming Messiah, the man who baptized the Jesus and heralded his arrival began to doubt. Why hadn’t Jesus set up his Kingdom? His experience of suffering in prison brought on his doubt. The devil tempted Jesus to prove His faith by experience but Jesus proved it only by the Word of God.
