Jochebed was the mother of Moses. At the time of Moses’ birth, Pharoah ordered all the male Hebrew babies be killed. So Jochebed hid Moses for three months and then placed him in an ark and trusted God by placing him in the river. Her faith told her that Moses would be safer in the river than with her.
