It’s so important to grasp a consistent lesson told over and over in the Bible. The tendency, the almost gravitational pull of the world away from the things of God, and to, almost anything else. Israel became comfortable and used to the blessings of God and fell headlong into sin and idolatry. Uzzah grew so used to the Ark of God in his father’s house that when the oxcart rocked, he put a hand on it. The danger for us, is that we can become so used to being around the things of God, we can know all kinds of facts about God and yet not know Him.
