In Mark 11 Jesus, hungry, approaches a fig tree for its fruit and finds none. It looked good but all it had was leaves. The fig tree missed an opportunity to please its creator. Our creator has a right to look to us with expectation. If we aren’t bringing God pleasure, we aren’t fulfilling our purpose. Have we buried our one talent? Not doing something is not fruitful. Are you growing, increasing in the Lord? Can we produce more fruit by doing less unfruitful things?
