At this time, no one in Israel was asking for deliverance from the Philistines. israel and Samson had become so entwined with the Philistines, much like the church has become joined with the world. Not only Samson, but his parents that raised him a Nazarite now go along to get along. Samson never fulfilled his purpose of ridding Israel of the Philistines. He only killed Philistines to soothe his own anger when he got mad. Samson used his God-given gifts for his own whims instead of God’s purpose. Samson relied on the gifts instead of the God who gave them.
