Counsel is not correction. Counsel is advice to keep from making a mistake or after you’ve made a mistake. Reluctance to seek counsel is simply pride or arrogance (and foolish). A person who seeks counsel is humble. Counsel is not someone who agrees with you; not what you want to hear but what you need to hear. Reject counsel that goes against the Word. Counsel from God is never wrong.
