The greatest men in the Bible became overwhelmed at times. Sometimes “the journey is too great for thee,” but it’s not too great for God. All Elijah could see was Jezebel. He runs because he doesn’t want to die. Running will never overcome our fears. We’re told to run from sin but to stand against the devil. Worry will either keep you from God or drive you to Him. We are to walk by faith; walking by sight creates spiritual vertigo. You can’t trust your feelings—Instead, go by God’s Word. We have to be specifically looking and listenting for Him to hear His still small voice. He will get you through it, not over it.
