John describes Jesus as the Light and the Life, each time in capital letters, denoting the person of Christ. As John described Jesus on the Mount of transfiguration and in the Book of Revelation, the transfigured Jesus radiates light. One day, when we are with Him, there will be no darkness, no night, the illumination will shine forth from Christ. His light is life to us. And if you’re saved, that light and life is in you. His light is in you. Do others see the Light (Jesus) in you? You have every bit of God in you right now, that you will have in heaven. He has withheld nothing. The only thing obscuring the Light is your flesh. We are to be his light in this world. Diminish your flesh and shine your light!
