Resurrection didn’t start with the New Testament, it’s an Old Testament principle. Many prophecies give the details centuries in advance. Death reigned on earth until Jesus resurrected. He told his disciples exactly what would happen but they didn’t grasp it. So his disciples spent 3 devastating days after Jesus’ crucifixion; lost, despondent and grieving. But, they got the good news, that Christ had conquered death for them who trust in His shedding his own sinless blood to pay in full for our sins. But don’t make an even worse mistake than the disciples. Your Easter dress or Easter shirt won’t save you; you must respond to the gospel and put your trust in Jesus sacrifice, alone, to save you from death and welcome you into the Kingdom of God.
