Not knowing the Bible is not just a problem for parent but does real harm to their children. If Jephthah had know Deuteronomy, he could have repented and offered an animal instead of his only daughter. And he would have known that only a priest can offer sacrifices and a priest would have set him straight. Knowing your Bible lets you know that God killed more people in the Old Testament for murmuring and complaining than any other sin. For those that murmur, it’s all about them, Complainers attack those that fight the good fight. Ephraim was the first to complain and the last to fight.
