We are commanded to honor parents, the elderly, widows, wives, husbands, employers, indeed, all men and double honor to pastors who rule well. There is nothing conditional about our responsibility to honor, there is no “if” attached to these commands. It’s so important, we’re warned that it will kill our witness if we don’t. To dishonor makes the Word of God of none effect.
