08/24/2025AM Believe Him To See Him

In the ninth chapter of the gospel of John, we observe the blind gain sight and the sighted that can’t see their own spiritual blindness. Nowhere in the old testament is there an account of the miracle of sight. Isaiah foretold that Jesus would open the eyes of the blind, which, in this case He did physically for one man. But there was a whole group of men that would not believe on Him. These were men who prided themselves in their knowledge of scripture but their arrogance blinded them so they could not recognize the One scripture points to. The blind man recognized his need and got help. The Jewish leaders did not recognize their need and so could not receive their Saviour. The blind man was saved because he believed. He saw Jesus through faith.
