How much of what you know is something you’ve experienced? How much is what you know is something you’ve heard from the source, versus second-hand? “Hear-say,” or gossip is so common in the world but also in the church. And it does more damage in a church than fornication, lying or theft. The Bible tells us it’s right up there with murder. It’s so easy for us to think and accept the worst. We need to cast down imaginations and evil surmisings.
