The harlot, Rahab, who aided Joshua’s spies to escape Jericho, was told to tie the scarlet cord in the window and all in their house would be saved when the army of Israel came to conquer Jericho. This was a figure of the Passover and the the lamb’s blood on the door posts. Such is the sanctifying power of the blood of Christ that this harlot is listed in the direct lineage of the King of Kings!
