When we pray we must understand and accept that often, God’s answer will be no. Not to discourage us but to guide us to a different path. God’s “no” was for the protection of Adam and Eve. That gives us a clear lesson about taking God’s “no,” to heart. Moses heard “no” from God. David was told “no.” Paul was told “no” three times. Even God’s own Son was told “no” in the garden of Gethsemane. That no, and Jesus’ obedience means that God will never have to tell any man “no,” who wants to be born again, or ever say “no” to a prodigal who wants to get right.
