Religions all have the same purpose: to make a dead man look better. In the gospel of John there are 48 references to ‘life’ and 49 mentions of ‘believe.” Hence, the gospel is not religion, it’s a person and life is in Him, Jesus Christ. We are all born dead. We’re all Adam’s relatives. Dead people need life. The miracle of Lazarus demonstrates that the only thing that can penetrate a dead man is the gospel. The longer in life you exist as a dead man, the more bound you are. That is the harder your heart, the greater your decay. The sooner you’re born again, the better.
