After starting so many gentile churches and seein so many gentiles saved, the apostle Paul feels an enormous burden for his Jewish brethren. Paul received the magnificent calling to take the gospel to the nations but he ached for his people who were lost in their sins—lost in their works and pride of traditions. Do we feel that terrible burden for the unsaved stranger? What about our friends and family members who think they are saved by works—trusting in their church and ordinances, instead of the finished work of Christ on the cross—trusting His righteousness, not ours.
