The real “Lord’s Prayer” is John 17. He prayed this with the eleven around Him, although, just as much, He was praying for us. He prayed that we would be one, in the unity of the Spirit so that the world would believe that God had sent Him. The devil wants the opposite. At every turn in the Bible’s account of history, the devil has brought discord, conflict and disunity. What do we bring to the body, longsuffering and meekness ,or pride and schisms? The world builds unity around acceptance of sin. Unity is created by God and maintained by us with holiness. Never forsake integrity and doctrinal purity for unity, that’s what apostate churches do by pushing God aside. The basis for unity is truth. God’s Word is Truth.
